Covid 19

So, we have had to put up with all sorts of limitations for the last 5 months. The worse of it for us was the restriction on face to face scouting. This put paid to a lot of activities and events but it did mean that we were able to stay as safe as possible. Going forward, during the Summer break, the Section Leaders have got to produce a Risk Assessment for a return to Face to Face Scouting at the location tht they are meeting. This has then got to go through a checking process that includes three steps. Once the approval has been given, we will then be on to the parents to give explicit permission for their child/children to return. Section Leaders will share their Risk Assessment with the parents before this permission can be given. As if that was not enough, we also have to work with the Cadets to fit in around their Risk Assessments and the general maintenance of the Cadet Hall as we are going to be using that facility for the forseeable future. As it stands at the moment, we are hoping to be able to return to Face to Face Scouting in September but that really does depend on everything coming together.

If you have any questions, please address them initially to your Section Leaders. If  you fell you need a bit more, speak to Pete Byrne, Group Scout Leader
