Fundraising and the Committee are essential elements and make up the 'other-half' of the Scout Group. The Committee is responsible for the business side of the Scout Group, and are the group of people who do the fundraising to support the Group Sections.
The Committee is made up of volunteer adults, most of whom either have or had their children in the Scout Group. These adults dedicate their time to looking after the buildings and grounds, the Group's finances, the fundraising events and providing any other support the Group Section's require.
The Executive Committee is made up of the Chairman, Group Scout Leader, Treasurer and Secretary. The full committee is made up by the executive, plus the volunteer adults and the Leader of each section.
Fundraising is the major task of the Committee, and the majority of the funding comes from the Waste Paper Recycling scheme, and is being dedicated towards the New Scout Centre.
