Fundraising and the Committee are essential elements and make up the 'other-half' of the Scout Group. The Committee is responsible for the business side of the Scout Group, and are the group of people who do the fundraising to support the Group Sections.
The Committee is made up of volunteer adults, most of whom either have or had their children in the Scout Group. These adults dedicate some their time to looking after the buildings and grounds, the Group's finances, the fundraising events and providing any other support the Group Section's require.
The Executive Committee is made up of the Chairman, Group Scout Leader, Treasurer and Secretary. The full committee is made up by the executive, plus the volunteer adults and the Leader of each section.
Some of these are Trustees of the charity '1st Snodland'.
Fundraising is the major task of the Committee as well as the other adults in the group. We are always looking for new ideas and new people to fund raise for the group and it is really needed now for the New Scout Centre. If you can help, please let your child's section leader know
