A State of Flux

A State of Flux. After five months the status quo is still up in the air so we are looking forward to, possibly, a better future soon. Some things have changed and the future is looking really good with the way we do things and the way forward. Some of it will be welcome, some will be sad and some will be quite a change from what we call the 'Norm'. However, there is no such thing as a problem - just opportunities to shine so we will take the changes in our stride. Our Annual General Meeting is taking place on Tuesday 11th August. We are holding the meeting on Zoom. Parents have been invited to attend to review the annual report of the Scout Group and to identify where the Group needs support. One thing that will be chnaging is that our Group Chairman for the last 20 years is standing down to let someone younger and with fresh ideas take his place. Steve Cameron has been an absolute breath of fresh air since he 'volunteered' to take on the role all those years ago. It has been a pleasure and an honour to have worked with Steve in bringing the Group to where it is today. The good thing is that he is not disappearing completely. Thank you Steve for all that you have done over the years.
