The Scout Troop at 1st Snodland is the largest
individual section within the Group, with approximately 30 regular
attendees. The troop is lead by Tom Byrne. Tom is assisted by an Assistant Scout Leader, and the GSL provides a helping hand.

The leadership team plans and runs a balanced programme, one evening a week with regular one-day, weekend or week activities or camps.
One of the key parts of the Scout sections annual programme is Intercamp, which is an international camp held in a different european country each year. There are 8 participating countries with approximately 2500 participants. Intercamp takes place over the Whitsun weekend, and usually coincides with the Academic Half-Term. Every member of the troop is given the opportunity to go, and we strongly encourage them to take part and gain the experience.
