Xmas Fundraising Success! - 21-12-2009
1st Snodland Scout Group would like to thank everyone who took part in the recent fundraising events to support the Scout Group in it's bid to get a New Scout Centre.
On the 28th November, 1st Snodland Scout Group held its now annual 'Christmas in Snodland' Market, coinciding with the lights switch-on in the town. We'd like to thank everyone that helped whether running a stall on the day, or the preparations before hand and even those who donated raffle prizes, particularly Kent Messenger Group and Gillingham Football Club.
The day raised over £1500 and was a roaring success, watch out for 'Christmas in Snodland' returning in 2010.
We'd also like to thank all the members of the Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Pegasus ESU, Leaders and Committee members who spent some of the day bag packing at ASDA Kings Hill. A great day of money raising, and although the figure is yet to come in, we're sure it's been a success.
Finally, we'd like to wish you Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year, and we'll see you all in January!
