Patrol Leaders & New Skills! - 02-02-2010
Over the weekend of the 30th/31st January 2010, 12 patrol leaders made up from Senior Patrol Leaders, Patrol Leaders & Assistant Patrol Leaders all took part in a jam-packed weekend of training and development in assisting them in becoming more effective leaders.
The weekend saw them working in teams, making decisions and expanding their Scouting Skill knowledge, including a local hike in temperatures of approx -2 degrees celsius. The PL Training weekend also saw the first opportunity for the Group's new tents put to use. They worked well and even survived a hard frost.
The PLs all got the opportunity to take part in the Troop Leadership Forum, an open opportunity for discussions between themselves and the Section Leaders and have put together some effective ideas which will be implemented soon.
